He did a lot better *after* he got out of redneckville:

From wiki -

Bolden accepted a commission as a second lieutenant in the United States
Marine Corps following graduation from the United States Naval Academy
*(Annapolis, Maryland)* in 1968. He underwent flight training at
Pensacola, Florida, Meridian, Mississippi, and Kingsville, Texas, before
being designated a naval aviator in May 1970. He flew more than 100
sorties into North and South Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, in the A-6A
Intruder while assigned to VMA(AW)-533 at Namphong, Thailand, June 1972
to June 1973.

Upon returning to the United States, Bolden began a two-year tour as a
Marine Corps selection officer and recruiting officer in Los Angeles,
California, followed by three years in various assignments at the Marine
Corps Air Station El Toro, California. In June 1979, he graduated from
the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School at *Patuxent River, Maryland*, and was
assigned to the Naval Air Test Center's Systems Engineering and Strike
Aircraft Test Directorates. While there, he served as an ordnance test
pilot and flew numerous test projects in the A-6E, EA-6B, and A-7C/E
airplanes.

He has logged more than 6,000 hours flying time.

Bolden was selected an astronaut candidate by NASA in 1980. He was a
member of the NASA Astronaut Corps until 1994 when he returned to active
duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as the Deputy Commandant of Midshipmen at
the Naval Academy, *Annapolis, Maryland*, effective June 27, 1994. In
July 1997, he was assigned as the Deputy Commanding General, I MEF,
Marine Forces, Pacific. From February to June 1998, he served as
Commanding General, I MEF (FWD) in support of Operation Desert Thunder
in Kuwait. In July 1998 he was promoted to his final rank of Major
General and assumed his duties as the Deputy Commander, U.S. Forces, Japan.

Bolden then served as the Commanding General, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing,
serving from August 9, 2000 until August 2002. He retired in August 2004.

He's definitely well traveled and very successful. All built on a
proper childhood and education in a good and decent state.

How's that KKK headquarters doing up there in Maryland? Was it union
built? Do they pay well for writing?

You mean like you or that worthless, boatless piece of ****, Florida
Jim, who thought he was defending America by helping to kill Vietnamese?

No thanks.

Hillhouse, btw, *was* one of the top academic high schools in
Connecticut in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Now, it has suffered the
fate of many urban high schools, sadly. In that same period, your
schools probably were segregated, hey, redneck? Hillhouse was not; the
president of my senior class was black. In the early 1960's...when the
boys in your state and Florida were still into lynching blacks.

Since you brought race into the discussion. From 1960 to 2008, how many

Things have changed a lot since you were in school in the '40s. Of

I'm betting a bitter, bigoted old man with no life except an imaginary

You mean like you or that worthless, boatless piece of ****, Florida

Vietnamese?
Well at least you spelled my name right this time.
Since you brought race into the discussion. From 1960 to 2008, how many
senior class presidents were not black. And since when is race relevant
to acedemic achievement? Your racist underpinnings are showing.

Losing to a black man for class president may have triggered his
fascination with the KKK. He mentions them all the time, and even
posted a family picture complete with pointy hats. Just saying...

I don't know what Krause's affiliation with the KKK is. It is probably
not a good idea to ask him.

The KKK have a very active and notorious history (going back to 1866) in
Maryland, including lynchings, cross burning and firebombing.

here is a photo of the KKK in Maryland taken in 1982.

The KKK have had well published sally's in 2004 and 2006 in Maryland. I
have not heard of any KKK rally's in SC.

This is what a girl who lives in Baltimore Maryland had to say about
Maryland:

"Please! There are places (that you probably never driven through) that
are pure "KKK like" country in Maryland. if you are not white you SHOULD
NOT get out of the car. It may be offensive to to say "Redneck" or
"hick", but should we refer to them as "possible white supremacists"? It
does exist, it has been experienced by myself and people I know... They
are areas of Maryland that most would not have to drive through unless
you know somebody or you (GULP!) got lost. It may be offensive, but its'
more offensive when you have to drive through these areas fearing for
your life!!! I wasn;t trying to be offensive, I don't know any other way
to put it honestly."

school, steps into the thread and turns it in an ugly, racist, and
bigoted direction.

Utterly Priceless. "Delicious!" LOL

That will shut his ass up. He can't handle confrontation.

I'm betting a bitter, bigoted old man with no life except an
imaginary
one in a newsgroup.
You mean like you or that worthless, boatless piece of ****,
Florida
Jim, who thought he was defending America by helping to kill
Vietnamese?
No thanks.
Hillhouse, btw, *was* one of the top academic high schools in
Connecticut in the 1940s, 1950s, and 1960s. Now, it has suffered
the
fate of many urban high schools, sadly. In that same period, your
schools probably were segregated, hey, redneck? Hillhouse was not;
the
president of my senior class was black. In the early 1960's...when
the
boys in your state and Florida were still into lynching blacks.
Well at least you spelled my name right this time.
Since you brought race into the discussion. From 1960 to 2008, how
many
senior class presidents were not black. And since when is race
relevant
to acedemic achievement? Your racist underpinnings are showing.
Losing to a black man for class president may have triggered his
fascination with the KKK. He mentions them all the time, and even
posted a family picture complete with pointy hats. Just saying...
That of course was your family with the pointy klan hats.
And of course, that's an obvious lie.
Exaggeration, maybe.

The most telling thing in this whole exchange is that the guy from the
backward southern state posted a positive new story about a black man
from his local area who has done very well in his life.
You southern white repubs like to conceal your liking for the Southern
Strategy by tossing up that sort of stuff. I recall a number of your
posts that poked fun at blacks because of their race.

You might be fooling your fellow righties here, but you aren't fooling
me.
I allow all my posts to be archived. You've been invited several
times to find one such post I've made, but you never have. It doesn't
exist.

Besides, your recollection is suspect. That fact is in evidence.

Meanwhile, my synopsis still stands. That you can not dispute,
because that's exactly what happened, eh?

Besides being racist and bigoted, HK and Donnie are always the first
to point the 'racism' finger.

Projecting?

States love retirees. They pay taxes to support the school systems but
have no children in school. They pay state sales taxes. Some pay income
and other taxes to the state treasure. And, the retirees are spending
money, buying goods and services within the state.

Virginia of all states knows best about how to treat active duty
military service members and retired military service members.

Who do you think was paying taxes while your little offspring were in
school, using buses, road, electricity and all else?

Retirees. And when their kids went to school it was them and others
that shouldered the burden.

Are you saying that if you don't have kids, you shouldn't have to pay
taxes?

There's a good issue for the GOP to run on, tax for children.

Why don't you pick up the issue and run with it. Tax the retirees more
because they obviously don't have to spend it on kids anymore.

Roads? I pay taxes for roads with every gallon of gasoline I purchase.
What has the Federal, State and Local government been doing with all of
that fuel tax money?
