Anything and everything. Seaport, Aquarium, Groton, Watch Hill and
environs - plenty to see and do.

I'd be glad to be a tour guide.

Don't forget "Water Fire" in Providence. Booooring!

Heh...well it's for a good cause.

Friends of ours down here from Providence drug us up there a couple of years
ago for a visit. Most everything was neat except for WF. Especially liked
Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. They satisfied my blackjack thirst for a while.

Ever go to Waltzing Waters when it was outdoors on Pine Island?
Skeeters kept me from getting bored.
Nah. It was actually pretty nice.
Is Water Fire something like that?

Not sure what Waltzing Waters is or Pine Island. Is that one of the
"attractions" up in the Dells?

WF is a river/canal that runs through Providence. At night they light fires
along the route in baskets in the water that are stocked and stoked by
gondoliers all dressed in black. Really "spooky". Music is played from a
sound system along the riverside. People walk along the river ooohing and
aaaaawing.

Saw lots of youngun's sitting along the route swapping spit like you and I
may have done with our dates 50 or 60 years ago. We used to call it
submarine races down my the Lake Michigan shore.

Oooops. Storms is here with the lights blinking and the dsl connection
dropping in and out. But what the hey, we need the rain, just no
hurricanes.

Waltzing Waters in one of those old Florida tourist attraction.
Hydraulic valves creating water patterns in the air, colored by lights
and set to the sound of music. Mostly Strauss, as I recall.
Only works at night when the skeeters are out.
Jungle Jim's Gator Farm was another down there, but I never went.
Pine Island is by Ft Meyers.
Believe it or not I've never been to the Dells, except I drove through
there once on the way to a fishing cabin at Castle Rock.
Told the kids "There, you saw the Dells. Now shut up."

Spooning? You talking about spooning?
Hey, I'm only 62. And I was still just playing baseball when I was
12.

Good luck!

It's a kind of water based light show. They anchor fire pots out in on
the Providence River, put some wood in them and light them.

Sometime's it's really spectacular and can be very pretty. Most times
it's just - well averagely entertaining.

But it does support a good cause and that's important.

Sounds like fun to me. Once, at least.

It's not bad, but once or twice is enough.

We do one in Putnam for the Rotary Club from August through late
October. Different bands every other week and the official lighting is
usually dedicated to a local charity - all proceeds and stuff like
that.
