Reginald P. Smithers, IIII, Esq. April 30th 09 12:31 PM

UAW paid off for it's support

"The U.A.W. members at both automakers stand to lose some of their pay
and benefits, but the cuts are not as deep as those faced by airline
and steel workers when their companies went bankrupt. Under proposed
deals devised by the Treasury Department, U.A.W. pensions and retiree
health care benefits would largely be protected."

Congratulations to the lefties - you've managed to do to this country
what the Communists never could.

I think they are scared ****less of the "UAW bubble" popping and
crushing what is left of the economies of several midwest states.
If the UAW doesn't make concessions those plants will get packed up
and moved to a right to work state ... or offshore.
It sounds like they want the tax payer to make up the difference.

I thought Obama intimated that last night when he said the government
would cover their pensions and medical care.

He thinks, somehow, the "government" can cover everything.

Who was it that coined, "The enemy of America will come from within, that is
why we leave you the right to bare arms." (Or something along those lines).

This is about corruption gone mad. How can anyone justify taxing some
non-union person supporting a family that makes a fraction of CAW/UAW,
maybe even no pension and now has to subsidize noisy facist auto? Who bails
them out when they loose thir job? Who is bailing out your pension?

All this do good stuff is to cover up for the corruption really going on.
Covering up for Carlysle and Ceberus world record in how bankrupt you can
run a company.

This is corruption gone mad. When government so brazenly bucks the popular
opinion of no bailouts and now over a trillion wasted on bailouts, mostly
going to bailout the filthy rich, those guns are going to come in handy as
economic liberty is now a thing of the past.

It is a liberal way, promise a lot and appologize later.

People will change their minds when either they get the tax bill, or someone
puts a sign on the US that says "The whole country is bankrupt, investing
here is a waste of good cash!".
