15# seems like a little overkill for a Danforth style anchor. 6' of 1'4"
chain is good. A boat over 20' would require stouter ground tackle.

15# is good. My little 14' Valco would plow the bottom mud with a 5#
danforth type. You want a minimum of 3/8" not for the strenth, but anything
smaller hurts the hands when retrieving anchor rode. A 100' should be fine.
I keep a 2nd 100' of line in the boat if I need more, but I also boat is
salt water and high flow rivers.
