Saw a Tolman Seabright Skiff

I was at St. Marks, FL last week and saw a new homebuilt boat on a
trailer. She was narrow and pointy and seemed flat bottomed. Really
nice work with a center console. I looked at the stern and saw a
rudder and tiller and then a bronze prop. This made me look under
her. Yep, sure enough, she ahad the inverted V of the Seabright. I
talked to the mechanic who was there and all he knew was that she had
an inboard diesel and did not know where the owners were. Boat was FL
registered but the truck pulling her had TN tags.

The Seabright is designed to be ultra-efficient although she seems to
just be a flats boat. Her sides are not as high as the other Tolmans
and she has no deadrise at all. However, her bronze prop is
completely protected and I do like that tiller. I doubt that there
are more than a dozen of these boats in existence so Idda liked to
talk to her owner.
