I can see that the rocks are very very obviously fake, and even not even a good quality of imitation rocks. I thought I would make a joke that the rocks were real, but the bear was a fake. Actually, the rump looks like a spliced on chimp rump. Maybe they had some spare "parts" at the zoo that day. Who's to say? Maybe they're both fakes. And that wood doesn't look all that real, either. ;-) Steve |

:) As always, I am impressed (ha!) with the high level of expertise exhibited here in wrecked.boats It is really simple to assess the facts after the event, and when someone else was operating the vessel. Even people who get seasick sitting in a bathtub can get it right. Sometimes. Steve |

If you see a picture of a tiger with a gold fang, it's the one in Des Moines. Same zoo had the worlds biggest toad, but it has been taxidermy for a long time. Casady |

LA is not on my list of favorite places to visit for work or play. It's been more than a few years since I was there. Your lose. Not at all. The last time I was in LA I got to meet some cool actors at the SAG headquarters, including Kent McCord and Elliot Gould, who was I interviewing, and Samuel L. Jackson, who dropped by the offices to see someone there on business. Somewhere I have a couple of photos of me with McCord and Gould. Prior to that, I hadn't been near LA for at least a decade. My soon-to-be wife and I spent a month in California on vacation, "touristing" our way south from San Francisco to San Diego. The air pollution was so bad the day we were near LA, there was an awful-looking yellow haze hanging over the city. We decided to drive on and skip the city entirely. We like San Francisco and its environs, we like Santa Barbara, and we like the San Diego area. The Pacific Coastal area is lovely. |
