Good to be back...

and see that I've missed over 2000 posts!

Yes, as Tim has said, my computer crashed. Actually it was a
combination of the video card and the hard drive. The hard drive ended
up toasted, with no files able to be salvaged. I'd been having trouble
with the computer anyway, it was about nine years old, and I decided I
needed a new one. Besides, my wife offered to pay half! So, I'm now
the proud owner of a whiz bang machine that is very fast.

I posted a letter from my daughter a couple hours ago. She is thrilled
with the support she is getting, and I'd like to thank those who've
contributed.

I was happy to see the contributions from HK and Harry Krause. I've
just added my $75 in matching contribution for those. Thanks again!
But, I can't understand why one would make two contributions under
different names. However, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth.

Again, thanks to all who've contributed. There is plenty of 'goal'
left though, so keep trying to put me in the poorhouse!

Good to see you up and running, john.

Hmmm. I will confess to the "Harry" donation, but not to the "HK"
donation. No reason to visit my utter contempt for the father on the
daughter. :)

Great to see you back, only things you really missed was Shortpants
tearing into Harry, Slammer had another hissy fit and Donnie didn't
know enough not to reuse cotter pins;)

On the other hand that guy "Jeepinit" posted some nice pics of the new
uhpolstery on his restoration, fishwisher posted some great pics of
his new boat, and James gang posted a pic or two of his ass end...;)

Yeah, I saw a lot of the pics. Some great work going on there. Tom did
do a job on Harry, but I think Harry doesn't comprehend it. It's like
a Marine F-18 -- whoooosh.

I reinstated slammer and Salty in their place of honor before doing
anything else. It made the reading a little better. Both sound like a
couple of repressed pedophiles.

It's normally a real pain in the ass to reuse them. If you just barely
spread the end they won't fall out and you can reuse them. You just
pull them out without screwing with them first. There is probably
someone so cheap they reuse safety wire.

Actually, you'd sound more like you. And you do. Either drugs, a stroke,

possibility is that you really are dumb as a post.

He''s not real bright.. He is refering to a post I made on another
group with a question (he is stalking me I guess). The group is not
very active, in fact there has only been three posts in the four or so
days since I posted and two of them were his! It's a builders group
and they really only answer if they have one...;) Well, except for
slammer but I imagine he is on most folks filter list there too..

Not much funnier in usesnet than you and loogy commenting on the

It's normally a real pain in the ass to reuse them. If you just barely
spread the end they won't fall out and you can reuse them. You just
pull them out without screwing with them first. There is probably
someone so cheap they reuse safety wire.

Casady

Well, technically, just barely spreading the ends is how you are
supposed to use them..;)

Then why, when watching any " real " Mechanic working, do I see him
wrap one end of the cotter pin around the axle stub when replacing
wheel bearings? No wonder you failed as a Mechanic, and turned to
building ****ty boats? Oh, I forgot, you dont build ****ty boats any
more.......cant find plywood. That, and you're too stupid to look in

Or trim it a bit with the cutters you used to remove the old one, and

much difference what you do, as long as it is bent enough to stay in

I haven't been following this thread closely, but has John Herring
offered up a wrong answer yet? It isn't an official rec.boats

And don't forget to winterize the innards of your engines with WD-40.
