Don't know, but for sure there are a lot of high powered center
consoles running around here in south Florida and the Bahamas. The
mega-yacht crowd use them as dinghies.

A boat like that with Quads is flashy, no doubt about it. Triples are
a bit extreme too I'll admit.

But it sure is fun. :)

Besides, I hope that the Grady will work out for me - I've been
getting the itch to get back into the small party biz - I kind of miss
it and some of my older clients want me to - hey, it will pay for the
boat over five years or so.

Interestingly enough, I've heard that the charter bookings for next
summer are on pace with two years ago which is interesting.

I dunno - we'll see.

With 600 gallons of fuel you should be able to run most of the day at
cruising speed.

Y-a-w-n. Boring. Wasteful. Stupid.

May be wasteful, but with quad 300's would not be boring.

Sorta depends on what one finds interesting and exciting. Banging around
at high speeds in a boat doesn't do much for me.

Pansie!

All systems are AOK and good to go north this summer, thanks for
asking. Maybe we'll get a chance to wake you on the Patuxent River or
whatever protected estuary it is you run that low transom death trap
on.

That would be my 18 y/o child bride up there on the flybridge in the
red top.

What an inefficient boat! Too much transom for good performance.

Let's see, 4 hours out, 4 hours back, no reserve..... covering about
400 miles (conditions permitting).... for only about $1500.00.

Yeah, that's about what we spend, per day, boating....... I really
*do* like their boats, but I'm betting there are very few orders in
the 32' and up categories.....

http://www.mercurymarine.com/look_de...sixCyl200300=4

52 gallons an hour at 47 mph... stupid is as stupid does.

Actually not that bad. For a big boat going fast, and near a mile per
gallon. Lots of smaller boats only get 1.5-2 mpg at a lot less speed and
comfort.

How come you don't whine about the fuel Harry wastes with his 36'

Damn nice child bride you have. Did you know that is a sign of virality
when you can marry someone younger than you? Make sure you mention your
child bride at every opportunity. Here is an example. I woke up this
morning and my child bride had made me a cup of coffee.

Key West Race Week is one hell of a good party.

Heresy is buying a Chinese engine in a Japanese outboard.

At least I buy American engines built by a Canadian outboard company.

I understand Harry purchased his Chinese engine at Walmart.

Oh yes.

It's also a good opportunity for us to keep in touch with our sailboat
racing friends from the north east, and with the sport in general.

I really don't think he is qualified for anything but grunting at
customers as they walk in. I would also guess he would have to sit down
in a chair, there is no way he could stand for more than 15 minutes.
