It would have been more in a good neighborhood.

I purchased my first home in the 1976. It was a very small home (about
1400 sq ft, 3 bedroom 2 bath in an relatively inexpensive neighborhood
and city, especially when compared to a city in the DC area. It was
about $45,000. I am surprised that a DC suburb would have been been so
cheap in the late 60's early 70's, but I would never challenge Harry
Krause, he has never fabricated stories.
