Well, just got back from the CMTA boat show in Hartford. According to
Shortpants nephew they had about 5% more attendence this year than last year, even if the boats weren't packed in as tightly. We saw John H's boat, nice looking boat too. The one we saw had the 90 though. Also saw few bloated grey engines, man, huge things but smaller gear boxes than the White and black ones of similar HP... I saw a couple of nice boats there, and boy, do me and shortpants have different taste ![]() There was one boat in particular, square like the designer didn't really finish it, wavy sides and the biggest frekin chop out in a transom I had ever seen, but it did have a splash guard even if it wasn't as tall as some other manufacturers, anyone care to guess who made that boat?. I liked the Black 17 foot Lund and a nice 23 foot off shore, I forget the name, maybe T will remind me.. Also saw some of the glasswork they are doing at Tom's nephews shop in a restoration they did, really cool stuff. The custom Tee top had a nice scene embedded in the top hard canopy which was made of divinicell, glass mat and cloth, and Polyester Vinyl. They have some plans coming for it that I probably can't talk about yet, but it will be quite enlightening to say the least.. After the show we ate at Reins, a little Jewish Deli in Vernon and had some of those pickles T is always talking about, he was right, what a range of flavor they had. Followed by the bestest Rubin I have ever eaten.. Oh yeah, and two calls from Tim while we were there, anyone who talks to him knows where I am going with that ![]() great guy, and a little chatty too ![]() |
