Mercury Tracker

I am thinking about trading one of my boats for a 40hp Mercury
Tracker. Is the "Tracker" just a graphic put on the engine cover
because they came on Tracker boats or is this another line of
Mercury? Are they the same quality as a regular Mercury engine of the
same year or are they a "more affordable" version. I am just
wondering what I am getting myself into.
Also since this engine came as a non tiller model does anyone know
if a tiller can be easily mounted and used on this engine? I do not
have the engine here to look at so I can't be much help.

Thanks!

Jeff

Same as, same as, but for the decorations.
Call your local Merc dealer about the tiller.

Might try ebay for the tiller handle if you don't have a used parts place
nearby.
