I like the senior Bush, but I don't understand the idea of naming ships
after people who are still alive. It seems weird to me.

To the person it's better than waiting until your dead I suppose.

I dunno. Reminds me of a line in a movie in which one of the characters
says "I check the obits in the morning to make sure I haven't died."

:)

BTW, your bravery with VISTA convinced me to toss XP off my Apple Mac
laptop and install a fresh VISTA in its place.

I'll tell you, I was not looking forward to a new computer with Vista having
heard all the horror stories. I even considered a less powerful, smaller
machine that had XP installed.

But now that I've been using it, I really like it. It hasn't hiccupped once
and I've been doing
a bunch of video editing, DVD burning, etc. that consumes a lot of RAM and
CPU time.
When I go upstairs to get a file or something from the older XP machine, it
feels old fashioned.

Knock on wood.

It seems a little weird to me also. Hell, in Miami they have a Don Shula
Expressway. I wish Don no harm, but they should have waited until he's
dead.

And a Dan Marino Blvd. south of Dolphin Stadium.

We have Veronica Shoemnaker Blvd and she is still on the city council
(and the owner of a store with the same name in the city)
They did make the county change Dr David C Brown highway since he was
also advertising his practice on TV at the time.
There is also a Ben Hill Griffin parkway (Katherine Harris' granddad)
but he is dead now

There's a Pat Salerno Drive in Broward County named after a City Manager
who was pushed out of office - he's doing something in Wichita now. I
wonder how they will handle that.
