Report from Israel
My daughter-in-law forwarded this email received from her sister, Carole in
Israel. (David is her brother). ====================================== We are dodging the bombs and all of us are o.k. Adam and Ronit have gone to the center of the country to work and study. Naomi has gone with friends to a New year's Eve party north of Tel Aviv and will probably stay there. Hillel and Shalom are, of course, in the army. David's area has not been hit yet and is on the fringe of the area the bombs can reach but they have a good bomb shelter in their house. Debbie also has a bomb shelter in her house for the 3 kids that are home - school as been cancelled - and it's a good thing because Yeshai's school was bombed today and if the children had gone we would have had a real tragedy. Hamas has fired over 30 large rockets into Israel today - and it's only 2:00 in the afternoon. It really is a miracle that more people haven't been hurt. We are passing truckloads of humanitarian needs into Gaza for the innocent Palestinians - and there are many of them. We are also accepting badly wounded Palestinian children into our hospitals. Nothing good can possibly come out of this stupid war - except of course - the end of Hamas (we hope). In the meantime we are going to work and surviving so don't worry too much. ===================================== Eisboch |

I can't believe the sympathizing I hear for Hamas and the 'innocents' in Gaza. The fact that Hamas sets up its launch sites in the middle of school grounds and hospitals doesn't seem to affect attitudes much. -- ** Good Day! ** John H |

Terrorists cannot compete with organized armies in face to face battle, so they have a different set of techniques and methods. That's why they are terrorists. Of course, now Hamas is a democratically elected terrorist group, no small thanks to President Idiot. |
