OK, on the surface of earth, we only need two coordinates to specify
your position. On a donut shaped world, you need only two. What
about on a Moebius strip shaped world or a Kleins bottle shaped world?

2 points. But there has to be a reference zero, zero point in all systems.
If the world does not have a flat surface, then you would need 3 points, as
if you were a submarine.
