Well, this is the first really cold day of the year.
Up to -22C (-7.6F) here. What is the problem?

Polar bears wandering through your yard? If you see a fat
man in a red suit tell him I said hi.
No, but have a Lynx on the prowl and deers were by earlier
this week. Cute, just don't want to get too close or corner
it. I think it was the same one I saw two years ago, left a
pile of bunny parts by the side of the house. About 3 years
ago a lynx tried to get a cat in our front lawn and darn
near did.

They are coming out as last week or so it has been less than
-30C so they get hungry after being holed up and decide to
come out.

We have an indoor bobcat. I love these large cats. Here's one
messing with Reggie's first cousin:

Neither.

I'd like to see a picture of your bobcat. They're cool.

Have a Super Christmas and a Spectacular New Year!

I'm sure he's digging up a picture of his bobcat on his
lobsterboat right now.

this is not on a lobster boat, but he could use this one.

Wow...big brave dumbfoch white hunter shoots kitty. What a hero.

oh, I didn't know he shot the kitty, I thought they were posing.

Why don't you pose your bobcat with your other kitties?

I'll be glad to, as soon as you post your real full name here, and it
can be verified.

It is on my DNR boat registration. I am willing to swap info.

Well, you have my email addy. I will discuss the posing with the cats.
Unless they are sleeping, they're not great at posing.

So you are willing to swap out your Lobster Boat registration for my
Boat Reg. Let's make it interesting with a little $10,000 purse.

I suspect that Harry's bobcat resides on his "Lobsta boat" together with
all of his fantasy girlfriends and other memorabilia.

Reggie, could you check and see if it is legal in the state of Maryland
to keep a dangerous wild animal in captivity at a residence. I would
imagine even if it were legal there would be certain permits and
liscences required. Together with periodic visits from local and state
wildlife and health departments.

...

Well, this is the first really cold day of the year.
Up to -22C (-7.6F) here. What is the problem?

Polar bears wandering through your yard? If you see a
fat man in a red suit tell him I said hi.
No, but have a Lynx on the prowl and deers were by
earlier this week. Cute, just don't want to get too
close or corner it. I think it was the same one I saw
two years ago, left a pile of bunny parts by the side of
the house. About 3 years ago a lynx tried to get a cat
in our front lawn and darn near did.

They are coming out as last week or so it has been less
than -30C so they get hungry after being holed up and
decide to come out.

We have an indoor bobcat. I love these large cats. Here's
one messing with Reggie's first cousin:

Harry, which one of those two cats was your 'bobcat'?

I'll be glad to, as soon as you post your real full name here,
and it can be verified.

It is on my DNR boat registration. I am willing to swap info.

Well, you have my email addy. I will discuss the posing with the
cats. Unless they are sleeping, they're not great at posing.

So you are willing to swap out your Lobster Boat registration for my
Boat Reg. Let's make it interesting with a little $10,000 purse.

You agreed to "swap" your identity for a photo of bobcat with a house
kitty. I figured you'd slip into your Yellowspine mode as soon as I
agreed.

You remain the coward of the newsgroup.

I didn't say what I agreed to swap, I said I am willing to swap
"info". I wanted you to commit to the swap, and then watch how you
tap dance and put on the spin as you back out of the agreement to swap
"info", when you found out the "info" was about Lobster Boat.

It is you not me who seems to be in a Yellowstain mode.

Of course you need a permit to house or import a bobcat into Maryland.

See Maryland code below.

One problem that would not surprise most people who know cats is that a
wild cat, such as a bobcat, have a strong need to mark and spray their
territory often. Much more than domestic cats. The problem is
exacerbated when there are other animals in the house. If you have ever
been in the cat house at a zoo, you know how terrible the smell of wild
cat urine can be. I would hate to think what a bobcat would do to mark
his territory in a new home. Yuck.

Even if Harry has not told his neighbors, they probably have already
smelled something unusual from his house.

Maryland
Type: b*

Summary: A person may not import as a household pet any live: fox,
skunk, raccoon, bear, alligator, crocodile, member of the cat family
other than domestic cat, or any poisonous snakes in the family groups of
Hydrophidae, Elapidae, Viperidae, or Crotolidae. In addition, a person
may not harbor within Maryland any live raccoons, skunks, foxes, wolves,
coyotes, bobcats, or any other mammalian wildlife species, or hybrids,
for which there is no USDA certified vaccine against rabies, without
first obtaining a permit. However, there are no state requirements for
private possession of non-human primates.
