Horses, kids, grandkids, elderly parent care, etc. grow deep roots.

Have you considered chartering something like a Lear Jet? If you
have a suitable air strip near you in MA, you could be at Ft
Lauderdale or Ft Myers in about 3 1/2 hours door to door. Have your
boat delivered south in the fall and you'd have a dockside condo
waiting for you a phone call away. If you kept a boat in the Ft Myers
area on the west coast we could look after it or find someone who
would.

If you're going to do that, why not go all the way?
I have a buddy in the British Virgin Islands, with his captains papers, who
would love to take care of your boat all winter.
I would even go down for a month or so and make sure all was well.

Mrs.E. needs to be within 15 minutes. It's also why we live in such a
big house, just in case the "kids" need to move back in. I've had all
three of them sign swore statements that they never will, but it matters
not.

I could send my youngest down for a year or two if it would help.

The beer drinker? Nope. I have enough problems keeping the place
stocked for my own tribe.

Eisboch :-)

Actually he's tiring of beer and now wants to learn how to appreciate wine.

Have him develop a taste for single malt Scotch.

I'm sure as long as you're buying it and fetching it for him, he'll
drink it.

Winter

It's -12 F right now, here in the Minnesota tundra. Wind chill -37 F.
I just got in from snowblowing the driveway. Fingers are still numb,
nose is red and frost-bit.

On the boating side, I did find this:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/32165280@N02/

I bought it locally from an ebay seller. It's the brochure for the
1975 Crestliners. Click on it to see the whole scan. If you scroll
down, you'll see the actual boat, which is a '74. I've posted that pic
link here before.

Folks, this is the stuff that keeps me going during the winter.

Happy holidays to all.

Terry
