Health Alert! Species Krausii Liesallthetime Marylandus

Dr. Geraldine Gardenburt, Director of The Centers for Disease Control
in Atlanta, has issued the following urgent health alert:

“The recent sightings in Maryland of the elusive species Krausii
Liesallthetime Marylandus has caused the Centers to do extensive
research into the bird. As a result of this research, we want to
urgently inform the public that birds of this species are often
diseased. They are often infected with one or more avian diseased
that can be transmitted to humans. The list of diseases include
Chlamydiosis (Psittacosis) , Salmonellosis, Campylobacteriosis, New
Castles Disease, Allergic Alveolitus, Mycobacteriosis (Avian
Tuberculosis), Influenza, Giardia, and Cryptosporidiosis.

“One of the birds spotted was a reliable sighting by an official of
the U.S. Wildlife Service who clearly observed pustules on the bird's
body, indicating that all of the local population of this species may
quite possibly be diseased.

“I strongly urge all residents of Marlyand to avoid contact with this
species and its known areas of habitat as its feces can also transmit
the diseases.”

You forgot the most virulent and dangerous disease of all; Lobstaboatiosis.

Yes! *I'll fire off an email immediately to Dr. Gardenburt. *That
can't be overlooked, as Lobstaboatiosis possibly indicates other
underlying disease processes.- Hide quoted text -

The reply from Dr. Gardenburt:

“Thank you for reminding me that the species Krausii Liesallthetime
Marylandus can carry the disease Lobstaboatiosis. * While rare in
avian species, it is not unknown. *It is a disease with a component of
mental illness. *Symptoms in birds include irrational behavior,
grandiose movements and unjustified superior behavior toward other
birds. *There is no known cure. *It’s a cruel disease and almost
always leads to isolation from family and flock.”- Hide quoted text -

Is there any cure?- Hide quoted text -

There is no known cure according to Dr. Gardenburt. *The afflicted
bird continues to engage in such erratic behavior that it eventually
ends up isolated, aggressively neurotic and with escalating signs of
irrational thought processes.- Hide quoted text -

That sounds awful! I wonder if that neurosis and isolation causes it
to steal nesting materials and such and claim as it's own?- Hide quoted text -

That would probably be the case with much wing flapping and puffing
for maximum show.
