Amateur video of the launch taken in Titusville, about 15 miles from the
launch site. Listen to the excitement of the people, especially the kids and imagine the memories they will have. It's refreshing to see some good things and genuine enthusiasm once in a while in this day of gloom and doom. Note to the cynics. Please don't spoil this by complaining that we are wasting taxpayer's money. Programs like space exploration provides incentives for education, research, manufacturing and science. The Shuttle is not made in China. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCLR8TZpBeI Eisboch |

Just like this, it was just a tiny needle on the horizon. When it took off, you could see the smoke and it wasnt till what seemed a long time that suddenly there was ripples on the water and the low frequency rumble through the earth and then the sound hit you like a wave. Kids love this kinda stuff and are so excited about exploration it gets you excited to be with em. Shuttle was ok but its time for some new technology. |
