Looking for a Danaplus log transducer

My danaplus transducer is not working properly.
Do you think I can still get parts for those instruments?
Anyone (preferably from Europe) has one for sale?
Any other ideas? (is it compatible with other transducers?)

thx,
gabor

Hi Gabor,

The original Danaplus company is not in business any more.
But a Danish service company has limited spareparts, and has been able to
help several sailors.
I don't know the company, but you could try to contact them:

Their homepage is not working - unfortunately ...

Address Ryesgade 29
9000 Aalborg
Danmark
Phone +45 98 12 52 83

Looking for a Danaplus log transducer

Hi again Gabor,

Via a Danish newsgroup, where I repeated your question, I have been
informed, that it can be very difficult (= impossible) to get into contact
with the company, I informed you about.

Another Danish sailor has informed me, that it is also very difficult to get
your hands on of any Danaplus spareparts these days ...

He furthermore states, that "The output of the transducer must be 5V CMOS /
TTL compatible as the circuitry of the log is being constructed using CMOS
circuits + a Motorola 146805 µ-processor, everything beeing driven by 5V."

Please don't ask me, what that means - i don't have a clue ... I'm just the
messenger boy ... ;0) ... Hopefully it can help you.

Gabor,

I had the same problem a few years ago and found Electronautic in
Amsterdam tel: 0031206652714. They are replacing the fault part with a
revisioned and working part so you deliver your part and get a
repaired one back. Nice guys if they still exisit. Give it a try.

Ruud
