Garmine etrex legend & NMEA

Hello

I have an older verison of some navigaiton software on my PC that only
accepts NMEA format input. Is it possible to tell the Etrex to
communicate uning NMEA or will this GPS only communicate using Garmin
protocol.

Many thanks in advance

Matt

Yes. I used to use an Legend (or was it a Vista, difference is memory) to drive NMEA programs.

RTFM.

You need to go to the Interface Page (of your eTrex) and select NMEA Out.
