Did you call SEA, over in Mountlake Terrace, WA.? I am pretty sure
that Phil Manard, can supply you a Manual. If not, try G & L Marine
Radio in Ballard. Don Sr. or Jr. should be able to help you out.
as a LAST Resort, email me back and all see if I can make a copy
of mine, once the Power comes back on where the copier is. (May or so)

Is the builder of SEA SSB still in business? Once was a time that was
the only radio I saw on the bridge or in the house when in your part
of the woods..

Yes the last time I talked with Phil Manard at SEA, they were building
SEA235's and the New VHF that replaced the SEA156. That was a couple of
months ago. They almost went under a couple of years ago, due to the
amount of money they sunk into ACSB/Land Mobile, but the Marine Market
seems to have kept them just below "Nose Level". I suspect that
there isn't much left of the Design and Engineering Department, but
the 235 and newer Vhf Model were "Cutting Edge" designs then, and should
still be viable in todays market. Bill Forgey retired, just before
the "Big Crash", and Jim Elder went to Icom in Bellevue. I am not sure
where Pete Hopp went to, but Mark Johnson is still around, at
ShineMicro, over in Port Ludlow, WA, and "Very Big" into AIS
Transponders. All these folks, and I, were part of the Northern Radio
Company, and most left Northern in their declining years and formed
SEA with the Principal Designer, Dick Stephens. (SEA = Stephens
Engineering Associates) When Dick died, Bill Forgey took over as
Chief Engineer and Designer. He is now a "Gentelman Farmer" in his
childhood Hometown in Eastern Washington.

I got a SEA 225 manual from SEA/Datamarine about a year ago.
Cost about $25.
Great radio.
