parking sensors for boats

Hello,

If anybody knows where I can found parking sensors with detection range
approximately 1-10 meter. (I need them for boats).

For now I only found parking sensor for car with detection range 0, 5-1
meter.

Thanks & Regards,

Aleksandar

Strange thought to use such a thing with a boat. What is the
application ? Help in approaching a dock, provide safety / warning in
reverse (avoid running over a Kayak ?)

Can't picture a docking situation where that would be useful, where the
sensor could be positioned and reliably trigger and provide helpful
information. With a car it's pretty easy, the distances are small and
anything at bumper height is a candidate for alarm.

Would you be better off with camera's like Raymarine's (pointed down
from mast to give a good idea of distance), or even cheap computer
style camera's mounted port or starboard looking forward ?
