Radar

I am currently runing Winchart NautiQ and SOB on my laptop, both using C-Map
Max charts. This is also interfaced with nmea data from Raymarine (Depth,
wind etc) and obviously has a GPS input

I am thinking of getting a radar. Can anyone advise me of manufacturers, and
give me a clue how to interface this with the above. Where do I start?

Am also trying to get a sunlight visible waterproof display to mount at the
helm, but they don't yet seem to exist (at a sensible price anyway)

Thanks

Phil

Radar

My little Furuno 1622 has been mounted on top of the dashboard on the
passenger side of my 19' bowrider for several years.
1) It is sunlight visible,
2) I don't know about Furuno/waterproof, but in a small boat there's plenty
of moisture/spray/splash, if not from rain and rough water, from careless
friends helping washdown.
