Mick Americans are all brainwashed to the Federal Communications Commission being omnipotent, Mick. Are you sure it won't access that channel on its International mode of channels? I have an older HX255S I resurrected from the trash. It's my fav VHF walkie, now that it has massive Ni-Mh batteries in it....(c; I'm afraid not Larry, the channel in question is 49. I have also got a Standard VM-3500E but just waiting for the programmer and software to do that one. Might seem a bit over the top to get a programmer to do the one set but as we are in a pretty remote area it would cost about half the price of the programmer in postal charges to a dealer plus their charges on top. I went out in the boat last night for the first time with the HX350S with me and was very impressed with the sensitivity of the receiver. Far better than my yaesu micromariner but that is getting rather long in the tooth. Mick |
