convertor info?

hi i just bought from a bootsale a radiomobile voltage convertor 24 vlt
to 12 vlt my question is this how can i use this item and in what way
do i fit it ?
it has a red \brown\black wires at one end and it says brown\red must
have a 5 amp fuse inline fitted on both but as there are no leads at
the other end how do i use this and for what?
i know i must sound a bit stupid but as this unit is brand new i dont
want to damage it before i meddle with it as it came with no
instructions any help \info would be great and thanks in advance as
well .andy...

Just a guess: The Red and Brown are Power In 24Vdc, and Power Out 12Vdc
with the Black as a Common Ground. The instructions are to Fuse both
the in and out Power leads at 5 Amps. A little testing would go a long
way, to figuring it out.......

Bruce in alaska The above info is "Use at your own RISK"........
