Help W?Calmec manual

I have a non functional Calmec Mk X autopilot with no manuals. Where would
I possibly find a manual for this bugger. Have tried the usual searches for
Calmec. I believe this unit was also called an Ametec.
Are there sites that stock out of date manuals etc?

Probably no help at all, but many years ago I did service quite a number of
Calmec Mark X pilots. I never did find a schematic or service information,
but after banging head on wall for even taking on those jobs, I found that
they were not all that complex, electronically. The main problems were
usually pitted relay points (an easy fix) or worn/contaminated/broken wire
(hairlike) brushes on the slip rings connecting the rotating compass bowl to
the rest of the circuitry. Repairing these brushes was always a challange.
It can be done, for sure, but one has to have a cool hand and a good sense
of humor.
