Nobeltec & Pharos GPS

Heloo all, has anyone had success with Nobeltec VN or Admiral and a
Pharos USB GPS receiver, specifically a iGPS-360 (the one packaged with
MS Streets & Trips)

The receiver outputs NMES data as per the Pharos website
(www.pharosgps.com) but I think VN or Admiral will only see a serial
port not a USB.

I have a USB only laptop and the Street & Trips software including
receiver is $150 CDN so if it works it will be a great way to go.

Has anyone tried this yet?

David

You need a serial to USB adapter.

I purchased the Streets and Trips software last night, the GPS works
fine with the software.

I then downloaded GPSGate from www.franson.com, configured it and the
GPS is showing on COM 1. I don't have the Nobeltec software till this
weekend so that will be the final test but so far it looks promising.
