Garmin 276C Map Question

I just purchased the Garmin 276C and I got the Automotive Kit and Blue
Charts. Is there a way to load maps from both sets of software onto the
memory card at the same time or will I need to switch cards when moving from
land to sea and from sea to land?

So long as you have unlock codes for both, they should display OK.

The problem is when I upload the maps to the card the maps already there are
deleted. So how do you upload from Blue Charts and City Select without
deleting one or the other?

So what is the solution Larry? I have a Garmin GPS Map 60C and had the
same problem.I have the Australian city CD and some charts from the
Pacific Blue Charts. These were all loaded on my PC and I just selected
them all to be copied to the GPS (because they would fit).I am able to
see all the city detail but the blue charts are only visible until I
get down to a certain scale (I forget which). If I delete the cities
and just load the blue charts, they work fine. I have sent two emails
to Garmin but they have not replied. (presumably do not ned to worry
about me because they alreadt have my money!)

Are the Bluecharts unlocked?

Yes, everything was bought legally and installed correctly

Yes, everything was bought legally and installed correctly. I also
downloaded the latest version of mapsource (had to because i needed the
USB facility)

Since Mapsource products share the same environment on your PC, is is not
possible to select map sections from each product on the same screen?

I have just loaded City Select and selected the Glasgow/Edinburgh area for
upload, I then switch to Bluecharts Atlantic and selected a West Coast
(Scotland) area. The uploads were listed in the left-hand column of
Mapsource, and although I did not wish to disturb my maps in the Garmin, I
have no reason to believe they wouldn't load.

Dennis.

Dennis
They will load. I have gone past this point. my point is that not all
scales are available if i load blue charts and city select maps
