about that!

Try http://www.navcen.uscg.gov/enav/ais/default.htm for an explanation of
what AIS can do.

(As usual the US Government leads the way in FREE access to all things
maritime)

It has avoiding law enforcement uses also. I refuse to discuss them with
potential customers. The same goes for anti-surveillance "bug" sweepers,
etc.
