rudder sensor ST4000

I have just fitted a rudder sensor to a Raymarine ST4000 wheel pilot.
It hasn't made the slightest difference. I don't think the control unit
has 'seen' the new sensor. Is there a test procedure before I have to
bend myself double for an hour trying to remove it and send it back for
testing?

thanks

I think you may have to enter the "setup" mode on the ST4000 control head
and tell it a rudder sensor is attached. Should say something in the
manual.

I'm not sure about the ST4000 but I have the ST5000 and there is set up
procedure in the manual that requires to check the rudder position at either
stop and set the smaller angle as the limit for the control unit.
