ssb ground
I have a ssb ground for my boat and I'm not sure how to fit it. do I just
use the same bolts as anode bolts. will the dissimilar metals cause a problem? cheers bobby |
Hello Bobby,
Not sure what you mean by "anode bolts", but dissimilar metals are very likely to cause a problem. If your "ground" is made by Guest, it should have come with what they refer to as gold-plated bolts. I'm not sure what they are made of, but I would be inclined to trust them. If your ground plate is made by Guest, but did not come with bolts, I suggest you contact them for replacements. If not, try to locate the manufacturer and get their advice. You will need to pay attention to your onboard ground system and possibly provide cathodic protection. Hope that helps. Good luck.
