Where can I find an inexpensive USB C-Card Reader?

Does anyone know where I can buy an inexpensive generic USB C-Card reader
that can read my NT+ card?

Thanks in advance.

What program or software would you be using to read the charts? I guess
you are aware of the Raymarine E86008 USB C-MAP NT C-Card Reader, that
lists for about $170 and is intended to work with the RayTech Navigator
Software (aka RNS).

I've never used one of those, do you know how the PC handles that
reader's interface with RNS? Can the chart data on NT+ cards can be
seen as files and folders from a PC or used by other programs?

I use the Raymarine one, Cost about £100 I think and it works fine on the
Winchart Nexus navigation software. It did also work on the trial version of
Raymarine RNS software. Have since put windows XP SP2 update on my PC and
the trial version crashes.

I have one that came from the C-MAP folks. Got it through
Landfall Navigation. It comes with software that allow you to do
planning on a PC then transfer routs and waypoints into your
chartplotter (Navman in my case). You have to buy a blank CMAP
cartridge to do the transfers.

To clarify, I am looking for an alternative to the (overpriced) Raymarine
C-Card reader listing at $170.

I think I may have found it - the SANDISK SECURE DIGITAL/MMC CARD READER USB
2.0 listed at less than $20. at:
http://www.flash-memory-store.com/sanusbcomfla.html

Can anyone verify that the Raymarine C-card is in fact a generic
MultiMediaCard (MMC)? The size seems right: 18mm length, 24mm width and
1.4mm thick.

Based on your dimensions, no, C-Map cards are not MMC cards. The C-Map card
is 44.3mm by 24.0mm by 2.4mm with two groups of six contact points.

I would suspect the C-Map cards are a proprietary format. I've not seen
anything else with the same format.
