Hydraulic Drive Alternators

I have seen some comments recently about boats with hydraulically
driven alternators but have been unable to locate a source or any
additional information.

Does anyone here know where to locate either?

Anyone familiar with pros and cons vs belt driven?

I have used hydraulic drive alternators. I dont recommend them unless you MUST
locate an alternator in a place where belt drive is impractical. Complex, not
nearly as efficient as belt drive and it generates much more acoustic noise
than you'd expect.

Good information, thanks. Do you know who makes (or sells) them?
I do have a semi-awkward location issue and already have a hydraulic system.
Another possibility I've thought about is using the hydraulics to drive
a water maker.
