Remote display for GPS info

Looking for a remote display readout to show GPS info, or some subset
of it, from Furuno GPS units. Any sources?

Google websites for "NMEA Repeater" and you will find several
solutions that work for standard NMEA data. Hopefully your Furuno
outputs this. If you can use a PC-based solution, take a look at my
cpRepeater program, as referenced in the sig, below. Good luck, and
ask if you need more help.

Buy a cheap handheld and carry it in your pocket. The handheld also
provides a backup in case the main GPS fails.

A backup is certainly a good idea. If all you need is a position,
your plan works. Synch'ing up waypoints and routes between multiple
units on the fly is a bit awkward, though. This is where a repeater
comes into its own.
