Johnson 30 magneto output

I wired a battery charger to my johnson 30 and the engine would not
start so removed it.

Now I'm trying to fault find and would like to know what cables to
monitor and what wave form to expect.
There are three cables coming out from the magneto. Yellow,
Yellow/Slate and Yellow/Black.
Can anyone tell me where they are connected and what to expect to see
on a voltmeter or a scope.
Thanks
Ali

What year? I'll look in my book to see if I have a diagram for it.
