Hopefully simple questions on switch panel wiring. In which order
should the switch and fuse be from the main positive bus??

Either +ve bus - fuse - switch - appliance(s) or

+ve bus - switch - fuse - appliance(s).

Secondly conductor protection. I understand that if an insulated
cable is either on a cable tray or in a conduit, it does not need
further protection. If neither, then it should be an insulated and
sheathed cable.
Would appreciate confirmation.
