File attachments and ORBCOMM (Was grib files)

Manlio,

I was trolling and found this old message and felt the need to make a
minor clarification. ORBCOMM *does* support small file attachments:
binary, quoted-printable, and ASCII mime-encapsulated.

I should know. I maintain this code. Perhaps what isn't clear is how
this is done. I'd be happy to share more information with any
interested parties.

may be my question was not enough clear.

I was asking the most cheap vehicle to be used to get small file
attachments, through emails.

Inmarsat mini C and OrbComm services cannot handle file attachments,
despite small sizes, Ham SSB ask for too much Amps and is
discontinue.

According to the above seems to remain a full Iridium or Globalstar
service .. that are of high cost both for equipments and fees.

Thanks
Manlio
