There's no such thing as an entry level GPS.
The distinctions are in how many waypoints/routes can be stored and size of
display. Some are designed with navigation data bases, some with points of
interests.
Prices are comparable for the features you want, the same as VHF radios,
radar, computers.
Suggest you check products on manufacturers web sites, pick up some
literature at the stores, or read information in catalogues like West Marine
and BoatUS.
