furuno ls4100 vs Garmin 240 Blue?

I am in the market for a small fishfinder for my boat. I have narrowed it
down to these two units . The Garmin is more watts peak to peak than the
Furuno, most of my fishing is sal****er , and some areas are very deep and
you lose the bottom . I am replacing a Lowrance x-25 which has served me
well , but would like more detail. Any user info would be appreciated.
thanks in advance .

Check out Raymarine's new small fishfinders. They use the full digital
technology Raymarine introduced last year (and won prizes for), but they are
reasonably priced. Amazingly clear bottom and targets imagery.
