Garmin or Magellen?
 

I'm looking at a Garmin map76 and the Magellen Meridian. They are similar
in price and features.
Does the Magellen show many obstructions (there's 1-200 in my range in the G
of Mex).
I like the idea of expandability with the Magellen, but don't know that I'd
need to pay the 150.00 or so with either unit for the maps.
Does anyone have either unit and, is very pleased with it (or wish they'd
bought the other?
Any comments?

You might want to 'prowl' through and maybe join one or more of the
many GPS-related Yahoo groups in order to get more opinions. Some of
these groups are pretty active. BTW, most people feel that the Garmin
maps are better than the Magellan. I, personally have a Garmin Vista,
but have no experience with the Magellan units.
