Rechargable Batteries (a little off topic)

I thought I read a post on this forum about getting rechargeable
batteries rebuilt at a fraction of the cost of new batteries.
I cannot find that post. I do remember something about a cordless
drill battery being rebuilt and lasting much longer than new.
What I'm looking for, is to get laptop batteries rebuilt and am
looking for some guidance.
Apologies about this being a little off topic.

Click the store locator to see which of the 200+ stores are nearest
you. I replaced the cheap OEM Ni-Cds with much-higher-capacity
Ni-Metal Hydrides in radios, drills, handheld GPS battery packs. If
they can get the pack apart without it breaking in half, you'll get
back the pack you've dreamed about. The current AA battery capacity
is 2300 mAH! "D" cells are over 8AH, now.

The old charger that was charging the 700 mAH Ni-Cds just takes about
3 times as long to trickle up the Ni-MH monsters....(c;
