Question about wireless alarm circuit wording

I bought a wireless alarm cheap product for my windlass - want to
parallel the foot switch with a wireless control. It says it has 2
modes of operation - cut the green wire loop and get Momentary
Switching - leave it uncut - you get Shunt Switching.

Is Shunt what I'd call latched - ie push on and push off, vs -
monentary = push hold = on, release = off?

This is a Seco-Larm product.

I almost lost two fingers when I was holding the anchor and someone stepped
on my windlass footswitch switch by accident, I would not have a wireless
device on my boat
