purchased a garmin map175 back in june for a trip down from Annapolis to
Oriental....unit was easy to learn to use and performed great...now ? where
can i find g-charts for specific areas or is there a way to make your
own????

any help will be appreciated

Hi CW,

I just came back from the boat show in Ft Lauderdale where I spoke with the
Garmin representative about my GPSMAP 220. (Great unit) He said that the
G-charts are no longer made. I guess you and I will be competitors on
Ebay.....

There are still a bunch of distributors on the web burning g-chart
chips. It may be a different question as to if the data is being
updated or not.

Another place is to see if C-Map USA's site has any you need. They
have a section for secondhand "non" C-map charts.

Go to http://www.c-map.com/index2.html and go to "Services" section in
top title bar. I haven't checked it in awhile (and can't vouch for
how updated it is) but it's worth a try.
