Icom-706mkIIg to Pactor-IIe cable?

I've got my new IC-706 and my used Pactor-IIe and will need an
interconnecting cable.

The IC-706 came with its ACC din plug/pigtail and the Pactor came with a
ready made cable for an IC-M710 to Pactor-IIe. Apparently the plug pin out
is different on the M710 end.

I can cut off the M710 end of this cable but I'm having trouble
understanding the different vendors terminology

What I need is a 'Idiot proof pin-to-pin direction' .

The two equipment references are in this .pdf:

http://hood.hctc.com/~esteve/private...ctor_IC706.pdf

If anyone has this pin-to-pin or can help me out, it would sure relieve my
head ache..

I'm sure some 3rd party has this cable already made up but I always have to
DIY until I screw it up.

Well, as the PCT-II pin 1 is described as "audio out" I translate that
to AFSK on the IC side and assuming you are going to use it for HF
e-mail, my interpretation would be:

PCTII IC-706
p1 AF Out p11 MOD (AF input)
p2 Ground p2 Ground
p3 PTT out p3 HSend (HF transmit when grounded) (p7 for VHF)
p4 AF input p12 AF Out
p5 Power p8 13.8V

See the bottom diagram on pg 33 of the IC-706 manual.
Set AF out on the PCTII to 100mV with the FSKA command.

Thank Glenn,

If you will look at the time of my OP you will see that this question was
keeping me awake.

Somethings wrong when a boat question keeps you up after mid nite. There
should be a warning in all instruction manuals, regard the hazards of
reading them after sunset.

If you look at the time of my post you will see that I woke up at 4AM
from a nightmare about laying teak deck. I think I was drowning in a
pot of Boatlife or 5200. :-)

I would say that WE should "Get a Life" but I can't think of any I would
