Who are they?

Chotho, Lachesis and Atropos?

The Greek sailors say you never want to date these women.

Why?

wikipedia.org says:

"In Greek mythology, Lachesis (also Lakhesis, Greek: ???????, English:
"disposer of lots", Etymology: ??????? - to obtain by lot, by fate, or by
the will of the gods) was the second of the Three Fates, or Moirae. She
was the apportioner, deciding how much time for life was to be allowed
for each person or being. She measured the thread of life with her rod.
She is also said to choose a person's destiny after a thread was
measured. In mythology, it is said that she appears with her sisters
within three days of a baby's birth to decide its fate. Her Roman
equivalent was Decima. According to Hesiod's Theogony, she and her
sisters (Atropos and Clotho) are the daughters of Nyx (Night). In other
accounts, they are said to be the daughters of Zeus and Themis as well as
several other beings such as Chaos and Ananke. Lachesis is also mentioned
in the tenth book of the Republic of Plato as the daughter of Necessity.
She instructs the souls who are about to choose their next life, assign
them lots, and presents them all of the kinds, human and animal, from
which they may choose their next life."

Makes about as much sense as Jesus Christ and other such myths.

Wik's right, but this is a boating group.

For some reason I assumed someone would know the nautical application
to these babes at the tip of neptunes trident.

Ahhh! It's been a while (40 years?) since I looked up the fates, though
Wiki spells the first CLotho.

The ancient Greeks were such an optimistic bunch.

I read this in an old ship design book.

The first wave heels the ship ~Clotho who spins the thread of your
life
Before you can recover the second wave knocks you on your beam ends
~Lachesis who measures the length of your life
And finaly, while knocked down the third wave causes you to capsize ~
Atropos who cuts off your thread of life

The Three sisters

As a surfer you always look for the three sisters. Anyone know how the
three sister form.
Why not the 4 brothers?
