Sensiable Coke can Size, at last

I guess I'm getting older (67). There is no way I can drink a 12 oz can of
Pepsi or Coke, even on the hottest day. It will go flat before I can finish
it.

Since I drink most of my sodas on my boat, I try to avoid anything or drinks
in glass containers. The plastic bottles of soda are not the solution since
they just as large or larger.

When I was working in Saudi Arabia, in the '80, they had 8 oz cans, but
never here in the USA.

Last week while shopping at the military commissary, I noticed a large stack
plastic wrapped 12 packs of 8 oz cans CoCa Cola. I don't remember the price.
It wasn't a 'per oz bargain' but the size was exactly what I wanted in a
soft drink can. (I think it came out to about $.22/can)

I stocked up with a couple 12 packs to give it a try but since they are of a
convient size, I'm drinking them more often than the 12 oz I still have in
the frig.

I suspect that this a test market venture and we will have to see how it
goes. Myself, I'll be back for more and just hope that it catches on and
maybe next we will have beer in 8oz cans.

I don't think we will ever see them in vending machines because the can is
tall and skinny. Same height as a 12 oz but the can diameter is only 2"..
They are too small for standard cup holders or cozies.. But I think I could
figure a way..
