As the NW passage opens up, who is going to be first (in modern days)
to cruise it in a sail boat? Good way to get your name in print!
Or did Wilbuur beat everybody to it?

I think Willburr did it ten years ago. He ran out of food because
some one else screwed up. But that okay cause he was able to stalk,
kill, and eat seals till he got to the othere side.

Wilbur doesn't sail where he can't be comfortable sailing naked. . .

Wilbur doesn't even own a sweat shirt, let alone a sweater or overcoat.
Wilbur can be found wearing nothing but sunscreen, UV sun glasses and a
Barmah, Australian canvas drover most every day of the year. If there
should happen to be a slight chill in the air, I add a loincloth to the
mix. If you ain't in the tropics you ain't where it's at, man!

Not sure how leisurely the NW Passage must be made to qualify as "cruising",
but Willy de Roos made the passage in 1977, as chronicalled in his book
North-West Passage.

Two years ago Peter Brock, from the Halifax area did it over a three
year period in a steel 42' Brewer design. Shortly after receiving the
Nova Scotia sailor of the year award he was struck by a truck and
killed. He was in his 70's.

The boat is now for sale on yachtworld.com.
