Puritanical 27-footers

Hi,
So, I looked at the Islander 30, and there was just too much wrong. So I
also looked at an Oday 27 and a C&C 29. The main thing wrong with both of
these boats? Neither had anything resembling a double berth that two
adults could...well... "sleep" on! :o

So what's the story here? Don't tell me there was no hanky-panky on
27-foot sailboats in the late 70's!

"How many will it sleep?", they ask.....

"Six", I reply..."Eight or nine if they're really good friends!"

That's a primary reason we got Xan! (Pics below) The "V" is roughly
equivalent to a queen-size bed except for footspace, which is still big
enough for real adults that sometimes toss and turn. Berths are all
6'8" long, another oddity.
