Rinker boats
A good friend is considering the purchase of a 34' Rinker. He asked me what
I know of their quality. I know nothing. Any of the rest of you have experience with Rinkers that you would be willing to share? |

Any of the rest of you have experience with Rinkers that you would be willing to share? Friends got a smaller version a few years ago. Loved the layout, but initial problems had them wondering whether her name would be "Stinkin' Rinker". Eventually, the problems were ironed out, she got a real name, and they had a reasonably good season. The next Memorial Weekend, a gasket or something blew out. They limped to the marina and found they were just a bit past warranty. With a little work, they got the engine repaired under warranty, but that was the last straw. They now have another boat. -- Jere Lull Xan-a-Deux ('73 Tanzer 28 #4 out of Tolchester, MD) Xan's Pages: http://members.dca.net/jerelull/X-Main.html Our BVI FAQs (290+ pics) http://homepage.mac.com/jerelull/BVI/ |

Any of the rest of you have experience with Rinkers that you would be willing to share? I had a Rinker for awhile. Loved everything about the boat. it was a 202 vista and I took that boat alot of places and made great memories with that boat. I travelled from Maine to NYC and back and she gave me no more trouble than any other boat I owned. After I went to NYC from Boston in her, I figured that I was ready for a bigger boat so I traded her. I would have bought another rinker but there was not one at the time so I got a four winns now. I am in the position of only buying used boats and I can't really say about quality, but I still wear my Rinker Sweatshirt proudly. |
