Is this a Westerbeke or a Perkins?

It's a Westerbeke W-40 but I'm not sure what model. there are two different
water pumps, one for a 4-107 and another for a 4-108. It was new in 1981.
unfortunately the boat is in Fl and I'm in Vt. Any help as to where I could
find a used one or just a seal would be appreciated.

thanks

We replaced the freshwater pump on our Westerbeke W70 with a Misubishi
truck water pump -- our mechanic in Trinidad just happened to know
that's where Westerbeke (which doesn't make its own engines, but
out-sources every single part) got their pumps. You can try posting
your question at http://forums.torresen.com/.

You don't want to replace the seals. They're designed to fail when
the pump itself starts to fail. Replace the pump.
